Over the years at CIE, customers are always requesting to keep track of our inventory.  They want us to let them know if we get equipment of a certain type or equipment from a certain manufacturer or parts to a certain machine, etc.

It has always been difficult for us to maintain those relationships, however, because we have such a vast array of items.  It may be years before we would need to reconnect these customers.

However, one of the great benefits of our current site is that you can be alerted no matter what you’re looking for, and no matter how rarely we get it in stock, within 24 hours of it’s arriving.

How? Through our RSS feeds.  Simply perform a search, and in the top right of the page, you’ll see a link to save the search as an RSS feed.

Then, just use your favorite RSS reader to keep up to date.  This can be done through iGoogle and most modern web browsers, among other ways.

Prefer email?  If you would prefer to get a notification by email, be sure to check out the site Feed My Inbox.

All you have to do is copy the link of the RSS feed you get from the search, paste it into the box on Feed My Inbox, and you’ll get an email notification whenever new inventory arrives.  You can even configure settings, or unsubscribe whenever you like.

Be sure to save your favorite searches, and you’ll never miss out on another great CIE deal.

Our daughter company geeXmedia launched eZ labelZ for eBay on eBay’s new third party app directory in August of 09. The platform has now proven to be stable and offers enhancements to eBay’s Selling Manager web based listing tool.

eZ labelZ for eBay is derived from geeXmedia’s original label creator eZ barcodeZ, which allows users to make custom inventory labels, shipping labels, and other media using plain text, barcoded text, or uploaded images. eZ labelZ for eBay takes the app a step further by allowing Selling Manager users to quickly and directly import eBay item and sales transaction data on to their custom media (as well as many stock label templates). Users can access the app directly on eBay’s site via the applications tab on the My Ebay page
